đïž Day 1 – Latin Quarter & Jardin du Luxembourg

This first day is the perfect way to enter “Emily’s Paris”: quiet alleyways, neighborhood cafĂ©s, photogenic facades. First you start at the Place de l’Estrapade (cult spot), then head up to the PanthĂ©on, and finally finish at the Jardin du Luxembourg for a chic, relaxing break. What’ s more, it’s all very close by, so you can do Day 1 almost entirely on foot.
â±ïž Times & distances :
– Estrapade â PanthĂ©on: ~5 min on foot
– PanthĂ©on â Luxembourg: ~8-10 min
– Total time (with breaks & photos): 3 to 4 h
đĄ Practical tips:
– Come early (9-10am) to get photos without crowds.
– Plan a bakery break in the Latin Quarter
– If you’re visiting in winter: gloves + windbreaker (the streets can be chilly)
đš Ideal hotels (Day 1, very convenient on foot):
– HĂŽtel Le Lapin Blanc – cosy, perfect location to get home quickly to warm up between spots.
– HĂŽtel CollĂšge de France – great central option: practical, simple, efficient for optimizing time.
đ comfortable shoes – â Estrapade coffee break – đž morning photos – đż break in Luxembourg
đïž Day 2 – Paris chic: Louvre â Pont Alexandre III â Tour Eiffel
Here, you move on to “postcard Paris”: elegant, monumental, very “serial”. Indeed, this day mixes architecture, classics and views. However, the distances are greater: to keep a good pace, combine walking + metro (or bus) between the Louvre and the quays. That way, you save your energy for the finale: the Eiffel Tower by night.
â±ïž Useful times & routes:
– Palais Royal â Louvre: ~3 min on foot
– Louvre â Pont Alexandre III: ~25-30 min on foot (or metro recommended)
– TrocadĂ©ro â Eiffel Tower: ~10-12 min on foot
– Full day if you add breaks & photos
đïž Bonus experience (recommended):
– Emily in Paris – Official Walking Tour (GetYourGuide) – handy for anecdotes, optimized spots and a smooth pace.
đš Recommended hotels (Day 2, central & chic):
– HĂŽtel du Louvre – Hyatt – ultra-central: ideal for spreading out without wasting time in transport.
– HĂŽtel Regina Louvre – very photogenic “grand Paris” ambiance, perfect for a luxury/cinema vibe.
𧄠windbreaker – đ plan metro – đž Pont Alexandre III at sunset – âš stay for the glitter of the Eiffel Tower
đïž Day 3 – Bohemian Montmartre: SacrĂ©-Coeur, Maison Rose & “Je t’aime” wall
Finally, Montmartre gives you that romantic, bohemian Paris we often see on the screen. In fact, this is the most Instagrammable part of the city, but also the one where you have to be clever: if you arrive early, you can enjoy the almost empty streets. On the other hand, in the middle of the afternoon, the crowds can make photography more difficult.
â±ïž Time & distances :
– SacrĂ©-CĆur â Maison Rose: ~7 min
– Maison Rose â Mur des Je t’aime: ~10-12 min
– Total time (including stroll): 3 to 4 h
đĄ Practical tips:
– Shoes essential: cobblestones + stairs
– A short coffee/terrace break changes everything (and you get into the mood)
– Best photo window: 8:30-10:30 a.m.
đš Recommended hotels (Day 3, atmosphere & easy outings):
– Grands Boulevards Experimental – stylish, very well placed for going out in the evening and reaching Montmartre quickly.
– Warwick Champs-ElysĂ©es Paris – if you want a more “glamorous” base, you stay well connected to Montmartre via metro.
đ good shoes – đž early for Maison Rose – đ§ water – đš stroll without a timer
