Practical photo tips
- Book online or by phone to avoid long waits, especially at Pink Mamma and Le Train Bleu.
- Choose morning or late afternoon light for softer photos and terrace seating.
- Respect other customers: ask permission before photographing a neighboring table.
- Remember to tip when you’ve enjoyed the service (5-10% on average if the service does not include a tip).
Personal experience:
During my last stay in Paris, I tried out several of these addresses and got some very nice photos. At Pink Mamma, the glass roof diffuses perfect light – reserve or arrive 20-30 minutes before opening to avoid the wait. At Ladurée, I took afternoon tea: the macaroons photograph beautifully, but the salon remains very busy. At Le Train Bleu, I chose a table near the murals to capture the grandeur of the decor; the meal is more expensive, but the experience is worth the price. Finally, at La Maison Rose, the sunset over the pink façade offered me the coolest shot of the day. Always ask permission before photographing other guests, and avoid using flash indoors.
